Chair 3 – Mt. Brighton, MI

In 2013, Vail built three new lifts at Mt. Brighton in partnership with Doppelmayr.
This one has new terminals but used towers and chairs from another Vail mountain.

Leaving the bottom terminal.

The towers on this and Chair 4 were from the defunct Mountaintop Express. During the relocation from Vail, additional horizontal bars were added on the lifting frames so that the towers could be used to mount lights for night skiing.

Yep, the remnants of Chair 4 Mountaintop Express live here, at least the towers and chairs.

Silly question, but figured I should ask to confirm – are the Doppelmayr hanger arms designed to handle either a fixed grip or a detachable grip, or did they need to be custom-modified?
