I wonder the % decrease in ridership this had in Eldora’s last few days of operations this year. LOL.

I wondered the same about the small ski area in St. Corona in Austria :)

Judging by today, not much. This lift had as long of lines as Alpenglow – I waited 25 min to ride

Eldora might find it in their best interests to rename this lift ‘Rollins’ or ‘DSL’. The lift was clearly named for the rail station at the summit of Rollins Pass.

So you are saying the beer brand should change it’s name too? lol Come on, there have been much more compelling reasons to change lift names and this ain’t one of them. In fact much like the beer I’m sure people are more apt to ride it now to say they did. Either way ridership and publicity aren’t and won’t be negatively affected by this name.

I guess seeing as Winter Park didn’t rename the Corona Way trail in Mary Jane…

I can’t find any official announcement, but it’s in their master plan from 2011. Page 113.

There’s a lot of other new lifts and trails planned. Pretty interesting.
