In 1991, when working “Crown Point” we referred to operating it as ‘doing time at the Point’… a reference to a nickname of Utah’s primary prison, ‘Point Of The Mountain’. Was never busy except after 3:30pm therefore a lot of time was just hanging out, maintaining the ramps and kicking back. The ride up visuals are mostly scrub-oak trees, which were out of bounds.

I wish they could install trails on the face of this lift. Never people over here. Condo trails are nice. Definitely the steepest triple I’ve ever been on. No complaints besides the footrests

Well the problem could not only be private property but the Crown Point line faces south and not that high in elevation which could be the reason DV didn’t put any trails there

I honestly suspect that once Crown Point gets replaced (as in Alterra’s short term future) it might be with Lift 8 beginning at the end of the Miners Delight/Little Giant Trails and ending at the existing top terminal. It would make sense if it happens but it’s gonna take longer from Wasatch or Silver Lake Village if Homestake gets crowded.
