Why not HSQ? I like Sunpeaks (but still Tob Mountian to me!) yet they do not seem to like detachables. Maybe Orient as FGQ is OK as it is more a realestate lift, but the New Crystal really required a HSQ. And dont get me going on Burfield as a FGQ!

The lift moves pretty fast for a fixed grip quad.
Sure, they could’ve gone detachable, but I’d say it’s moving at a solid 450 fpm in this video.

Why do Canadian Doppelmayr lifts have cablecatchers on newer lifts compared to not having them in the USA?

We have them here. In fact, the only lift I’ve ever seen without them was a 1954 Riblet and we retrofitted them onto it my rookie year.

They added a loading carpet at the bottom in 2024 to facilitate loading.
