Okay, I have found something odd about these mid-90s Doppelmayr detachables. Sugarbush’s Super Bravo Express has one chair (93) that has a safety bar with grab handles on it. The rest have safety bars with no footrests or grab handles. On Deer Point I noticed that chair #2 has the safety bar with the grab handles while the rest have the same as Super Bravo. This could be due to Doppelmayr discontinuing the original style and the only way to replace a bar is to use the one with handles. I find this whole situation quite odd.
North Peak at Sunday River also has a few bars with grab handles. They are just replacements for bars that had been bent or even broken over the years.
This thing got a new coat of paint. It looks like Pine Creek. Oh, and it had to stop five times today. In a couple of years it’ll be 30 years old and might start to have worse problems.
Naw. That never happens. This lift isn’t closer to the lodge than the logical next chair after Chair 7 at all. There’s no way any beginners would load somewhat accidentally or any experienced folks would have bad luck. Impossible.
you know that can’t be true, it’s got to be the chair is bad not skier error all skiers know how to load and unload… (I said that all in a sarcastic tone)

The grab handles started being used in 2002 when the Doppelmayr CTEC merger was around.

It should have been that one of the bars was damaged by either a snow cat or the like and this was the replacement Bogus Basin received.

Perhaps it stopped because skiers fell on the ramp?
