Does this lift run any more? And what was the purpose of this lift? Seems like a lift to nowhere.

It runs most of the time, actually. It serves both as a beginner lift and access from the main Jane base to the Challenger lift.

From the website “The Galloping Goose is scheduled to run every day through March 30 and Friday through Sunday through closing day.”

I like to consider this little learning area a bit of an exclave, seeing as while you can reach green runs from Super Gauge, or take Corridor down to Winter Park base and access the gondola and Gemini Express, there’s no green runs from Lunch Rock down to Mary Jane base, the closest equivalent being Edelweiss down to the Sunnyside Express / Panorama Express starting point, then Corona Way back to Utah Junction.
