Garfield – Monarch Mountain, CO

Garfield is the original double chairlift at Monarch, built in 1969.
The entire bottom terminal, operator house and controls were upgraded by Skytrac in 2010.
New Skytrac motor room.
The top bullwheel and base are still original.
This was the very first complete terminal Skytrac built, hence the name Monarch used nationwide.
Garfield crosses underneath Pioneer, a 1999 CTEC.

Looking back down the lift line.
Another view of the fixed return bullwheel up top.

The monarch terminal does look better than that now but I still wish they could have went with the big windows.
