One thing that’s apparent from the pictures is that Olympic never had to have its towers modified when the current Gold was installed, as the triple also crossed under Olympic. So this is a very rare case of a lift crossing where the lift crossing over is the older lift, instead of the other way around (as is seen in crossovers like the Peak 8 SuperConnect and the Blackcomb Gondola).
Also, the new Gold is slightly longer than the triple. The triple started right around tower 3 on the present lift, just below where Olympic crosses over.
“Gold Chair Express” seems like a bit of a redundant name. It’s kinda like Breck’s highest lift being called the Imperial Express SuperChair instead of just the Imperial SuperChair.
Midweek, Nakiska is pretty much dead. Weekends are another story though. There was an article from a couple years ago on ridiculous lift lines at Nakiska. In my opinion, crowds are better managed now than a few years back, but it’s not uncommon to wait at least 15-20 minutes on the busiest of days for Silver.
Does this lift have a slight turn using canted sheaves at tower 4? (see pic 1)

I don’t think so. Google Earth shows it perfectly straight.

Looks more like they just have combis flanking that depression tower for crossing under Olympic.

There’s a lot of good pictures of Gold when it was a triple here:
