Agreed! Tempting to hike up there this summer to look at it. I wish they would open it to the public daily, as that looks like some pretty nice terrain.

They didn’t make a big deal about this construction despite it opened a sizable amount of new terrain.

Not many people venture over this way or start out of Golden Peak compared to the base areas with gondolas.

The Golden Peak T-Bar is usually open to the public on Fridays. I’m not sure of how consistent that is from week-to-week or even month-to-month for that matter, its just something I’ve heard from a local last winter.

That seems like a steep T-bar! Maybe that’s part of the reason it’s not open (other then racing of course) although Horstman at Whistler was really steep. It does feel like lifts and runs are closed too often for racing though. For example, Eagle at PC reserves its midstation for racers, although when I went last year there was a good foot of powder on Picabo’s and Commitment and all three Eagle runs were closed. C.B’s run was groomed but nobody was allowed to ski it all day and it ended up with fresh corduroy at the end of the day. As somebody who has raced before, I know it’s important to have space to practice, but it just seems excessive sometimes.

Those are some beautiful trees! Great location for a T-Bar.
