Is there anything confirmed that Hillberg had a 1980 Riblet? Lift installation surveys list that particular lift as “Fort Richards” which would be the double from Arctic Valley Skibowl rather than Hillberg. It would seem odd for Hillberg to replace a 1980 Riblet double with a 1988 Riblet double. The length and vertical don’t match for Hillberg either. Photos from the 60s and 70s don’t show the double at Arctic Valley Skibowl so it would make sense that their Riblet was installed in 1980.
It’s on a military post. Those stationed on the fort, as well as their families are welcome, but I think there might also be options for locals in the community. It’s likely one wishing to visit might need special access to ski, especially if you wanted to take pictures.
