Huckleberry – Castle Mountain, AB

This lift came from Beaver Creek and opened up a big expansion area at Castle.
The bottom terminal has a concrete counterweight.
View up at tower 1.
View back down to the bottom terminal.
This was the former Larkspur lift at BC and moved in 2006.
View down the long line.
Arriving up top.
Like all lifts at Castle Mountain, Huckleberry runs off generator power from a nearby shed.
Motor room and bullwheel.
View down from the summit.
Middle section of the line.
Upper lift line view.
Another view of the line.
View up from near the base.
First few towers.
Side view of the bottom tension terminal.

What’s up with those interesting combo sheaves? They look sort of like Riblets but not really. I think I may have seen something similar on some Doppie tbars.
