I was riding this lift when the lift slammed hard on its brakes and the whole line started to jump up and down just before tower 22. After like 10 minutes they got it working again. Same thing happend on Wizard express at whistler blackcomb.

Easily my favorite High-Speed Quad in the US! Awesome views, cool lift line, and it almost always runs close to full speed. Also, rarely any lines!

This lift does run really fast. It feels faster than 1000fpm sometimes. Same thing with Iron Mountain Express at PCMR.

SunPeak at Canyons also feels faster than 1000fpm.

Most of the time Sun Peak runs at 950fpm. I think that’s Canyon’s public HSQ speed.

Lately snowbasin has been running this at a lower speed, they usually only run it full speed when the lift gets crowded.

once again have to restate that this has to be on my list of best lifts I have ever been on at least in terms of the view and terrain they serve. My other two would have to be Wa She Shu and Peruvian

Sometime in the late 2010s/2020 or so, they added combi sheaves to tower 3 on the uphill side.
