Ah ok thanks, that’s interesting! Afaik there’s no UNI-G six-pack here in Europe which doesn’t use the 6.1m gauge. I’m guessing that’s also why 6.1 m tower heads need to be imported by Doppelmayr USA?
Park City might want to look into building another lift out of King Con’s base. If anything ever happens to King Con, all of the skiers in the area are stuck at the bottom with nowhere to go. I am not even sure where it would/should go.
It may (extremely unlikely) be possible to cut a cat road from the bottom of King Con to the bottom of Silver Star, then if Silver Star got realigned and served as a base area this would create an egress to King Con. Plus, Silver Star is on the bus route.
I should have been more specific. Silver Star is a stop on the free bus route that stops at PC and Canyons so if King Con went down people could ride that.
There are tons of places where riding a single-dependency lift is the only way out of the terrain pod. Doubtful they would build a lift in the King Con area specifically for this reason.
This is do different than High Noon Express at Vail, Rose Bowl at Beaver Creek, Wayback at Keystone (techincally is a flat egress/road out), Montezuma at A-Basin, Beavers at A-Basin (technically has an egress but its EX terrain), and may other lifts at many other resorts.
Well…. High Noon got its relief lift this year. Game Creek has the same issue, though. Mineral at Snowbasin, Strawberry at Snowbasin (until the end of this season, at least), and Lady Morgan at Deer Valley are just a few other examples.

This is one of the two lifts with a conveyor loading system at Park City. The other is 3 Kings. (Fixed Triple) Both Doppelmayr.

I think it would be a high speed quad running from the bottom of King Con to the Summit House, functioning as the reliever lift for Silverlode.

I completely agree that the terminals are great. I tend not to notice the Red Pine Gondola though.
