The first CTEC HSQ was a partnership CTEC did with Vonroll in 1989 to build Eagle Express at Solitude, UT. CTEC built chairs/towers and Vonroll supplied detachable technology. They planned a long term partnership or merger (can’t remember), but it fell through. One year later in 1990, CTEC partnered with Garaventa to build Bear Mountain Express at Bear Mountain, CA. They built several more in partnership with Garaventa in 1991 and 1992 and then in 1993 the two merged into Garaventa CTEC.
This is one out of the three Garaventa CTEC stealth 1s. There are still two left operating, one is Northside Express at Deer Valley (I guess that makes sense because of the locations) and Wonderama Express at Windham Mountain NY. The only one you’ll be able to ride would be Northside Express because of Windham’s privatization. I wonder how long those two will last before a replacement.
