This was DV’s last major expansion and I REALLY wish they’d expand again. I know they can’t go much further on this side without encroaching on PCMR but it definitely wouldn’t hurt to expand past Mayflower.
Love this lift. The profile of this lift is absolutely insane. I don’t think you can access Park City. Would be nice to connect the two. Maybe with the Mayflower Expansion plus connecting Park City could make it the largest ski resort in the country. More for advanced skiers. It’s a lot like the first detachable at Powder Mountain. Very quiet lift.
This lift serves fantastic terrain, and it is crazy to think that it was only built by Talisker to serve the Nakoma subdivision of their massive Flagstaff Mountain real estate project. Luckily, they realized the quality of the terrain later on in the development process and gave the area the attention it deserved prior to opening.
