I find that very hard to believe since Alta Sierra first opened in 1982. Even if the lift was supposedly a relocation from a 1963 install, there aren’t any 1963 Riblets that were removed in the early to mid 80s and were not sold elsewhere. Google earth imagery suggests that the lifts most likely were installed at around the time of its opening which means that Lakeview is most likely from 1964 or earlier than 1963. Riblet installations from before 1963 would be well appreciated for tracking down where this lift could have originated from.

Both of these lifts were rope tows before these chairlifts were installed. 1982 sounds about right for the rope tow to chair lift conversion. I remember hanging on for dear life going up the rope tow.
