This lift received mechanical upgrades in summer 2018 and the operating speed was increased from 350 to 400 feet per minute. I don’t think it makes sense for either lift to go detachable. LWC doesn’t serve enough terrain and WC is only really used as an access lift to the rest of the mountain, not one that is lapped. White Heat is fine because it serves mostly expert terrain and can go fast. It also keeps faster skiing traffic out of the base by starting higher.

When Barker is replaced, I think they should put the Poma sheaves on this lift to replace the Pullman Berry ones, and use the Poma chairs on one of the Yan quads too.

Those Leitner-Poma hangers really clash with the black of the Yan bails.

Believe it or not the bails on this lift (and this lift only) are silver now. Looks terrible, every bit of rust shows. Tempest and White Heat both have black bails with the L-P Galvi hangers, and Aurora has Galvi bails with L-P Galvi hangers.

I read somewhere that this lift has Pullman-Berry sheaves. Is that the case?

Anyone know what’s going on with this lift? Seems like it’s been down for mechanical issues quite a lot this year

Is this the last Pullman-Berry of any kind? Who owns their designs now?

There’s one true pullman berry at devils nest ski area in NE but the place is abandoned and may not be around to much longer

Great lift for beginners. Me and my dad spent a lot of time on this lift. Yes it is slow. Definitely quiet
