I’m pretty sure that it was listed as a triple for a reason and that it was not a typo. If it was truly a typo, then why would Cabin be listed as a double? It seems odd to me. Here is a link to the trail map: https://skimap.org/data/361/7/1413945538.pdf
I checked, if the new lone tree lift in the future starts from half way down lone creek when ice house meets it then it can get to the existing top with no overlaps over any of the glades, there this would be the best start for it
On the big sky 2025 plan it says moonlight lift upgrade, hopefully it is this lift.
Also hopefully their would be more variety to access it from the top of six shooter( and hopefully the future top of iron horse express too). I don’t like skiing high line and rams glade over and over again.
A fine plan. What would be even better is if Big Sky completed the original top-to-bottom lift line that Moonlight started (on the map it’s called the “Pine Marten” trail. If you look on Google Satellite the partially completed lift line jumps right out at you). Would do wonders in relieving the long lines that Six Shooter can see nowadays.
The towers you saw are there for ski patrol to practice lift evacs, not for a future lift.
When The Storm Skiing Podcast interviewed Taylor Middleton he mentioned that after the tram and gondola project, the next project will likely be “Lookout Ridge 6”, a D-Line 6 pack on that top to bottom lift line from the bottom of Six Shooter to the top of the ski run Lookout Ridge
Why was this marked as a triple on the trail map?

It’s not. It’s marked a 4. On the map, it says Lone Tree 4.

Check the map from a few years ago. It said 3.

Did they get any towers up? I recall seeing grey unused towers near six shooter last time I was there.
