Does anyone know why this lift is still there? It seems like it would make sense to remove it even more than others they have recently removed – Exhibition, Flying Squirrel, Sunnyside, etc. but it still remains.
It’s a means of transporting guests directly from the Bald Mountain summit high speed quads over to the top of Lookout Ridge without sending them down to Mayday.
Does Lookout run at all anymore? It’s not running right now during the holiday week which I would have expected to be some of the busiest days of the year for SV. I actually find it quite useful despite its reputation as the lift to nowhere.
I visited Sun Valley during the Christmas & New Year’s holiday season of 2015 going into 2016. I remember utilizing this lift a fair amount, but I also do remember almost no one else using it.

I could see Lookout likely getting removed if Mayday is replaced with a high speed quad.

Please don’t put a quad up there. The triple keeps the crowds away and the snow good.

In the late spring, Christmas and Easter bowls close early, leaving a 10-15 hike the only way to get to Mayday and Seattle Ridge.
