Mach 1 Express – Mt. Holly, MI

This is one of only two detachable quads in southern Michigan.
Although called Mach 1, this is actually lift number 3.

    Isn’t this a Poma Challenger not a Competition? It’s also one of the only lifts with Omega carriers that don’t have bars.

      Competition terminals are longer and have three masts.

      Challenger terminals have two masts and come in two varieties. There’s the longer variant for lifts that run over 1,000 fpm:

      What this lift has is Challenger terminals of the shorter variety that’s capped to a top speed of 900 fpm, like seen on Winter Park’s TB-41s:

        I’ve also heard what we call the Challenger referred to as the Competition 900 (as in 900 FPM maximum speed). Just to muddy the waters a bit :)

    There are actually 3 south Michigan detaches, here, bittersweet, and crystal mtns. And boyne s 6&4highspeeds

      southern Michigan ≠ entire lower peninsula, here and bittersweet are the only high speed lifts in southern michigan
