I always thought it would be interesting to see some sort of partnership between the Shoppes at Montage and Montage Mountain to create some sort of town center-like development. A gondola could easily connect the shopping center to the main base.
Montage is located less than a mile from a couple of active and abandoned rail lines in Scranton, a city heavily built on trains, and the names on the chairlifts reflect this. Long Haul and Short Haul are two types of rail journeys based on distance, Iron Horse refers to a steam engine locomotive, and the Phoebe Snow was an express train from Hoboken to Buffalo via Scranton.

Going off of the train theme, the shuttle chairlift may also have its name derived from railroading terminology.
