This was very much an overdue lift upgrade for Attitash.

That 14 minute ride on the old triple felt like an eternity compared to the new 6.5 minute ride time of the Mountaineer.

Surreal to finally see an HSQ up to the summit here. Curious to see how the increased capacity will play out given Attitash’s summit is still a limited number of old-school, narrow winding trails and Vail’s history of ops decisions here.

Skiing here in the 90’s in the ASC days, you thought for sure they’d be upgrading this to a HSQ. Amazing it took this long….

This is the only LPA lift in New Hampshire.

Those operating houses look suspiciously like doppelmayr operating houses

This lift, like the Flying Bear, seem to eject you as you reach the top. They don’t really slow down (at the unload point) as much as most other HSQ’s.

This lift literally launches you off your seat at the top but is a welcome upgrade. Was there on March 2nd and can confirm generators are still powering the shack at the top

Sounds like generators were powering the whole lift, not just the top shack. Maybe I’m missing something, but why not just build it bottom drive if power to the top wasn’t in place?

        I’m dumb, it’s absolutely a bottom drive.
