My understanding is that the owners of Mt. LaCrossse bought the old “double-ender” chair from Snowcrest in the early 1990’s. They may have also bought 1 or 2 chairlifts from Birch Park around the same time. All were Hall lifts, but only one BP chair had the Hall moving motor (railroad) drive at the bottom.

FYI, the double-enders at Snowcrest and Birch Park both had a center loading station, going up hills both ways from there.

Never mind, this is addressed on the Mt. Lacrosse main page.

The “double ender” chair from Snowcrest was a blue Heron-Poma, but there was another Hall chair that could have become the Applebottom chair at Mt La Crosse. One of the Halls from Birch Park definitely ended up at Welch Village for their beginner lift.

I haven’t been able to figure out what happened to the Heron-Poma but the chairs could have ended up on the Cosmos lift at Coffee Mill or been relocated to the Heron-Poma at Steeplechase. These are just guesses though.

Chair 2 was built for Mt. La Crosse and the Hall plaque can be found near the bottom.
