There sure isn’t enough lift here to warrant 17 slots on the spreadsheet 😂

Two lost ski areas on Vancouver Island – Mt. Arrowsmith (Port Alberni) and Green Mountain (Naniamo) had a somewhat similar layout and vibe to Mt. Cain.

Mt. Arrowsmith (upper, not lower) had two Harusch T-Bars that operated right below a fairly steep section of the mountain. The terrain they served looked less steep than Mt. Cain’s, but still quite interesting. Arrowsmith Upper closed in 2000 I believe.

Green Mountain also was serviced by two T-Bar lifts. The lower was a Doppelmayr installation, while the upper was Harusch. Green Mountain looked much steeper than Arrowsmith Upper, and also looked like it had great views. I believe multiple reasons ultimately killed Green Mountain, but it shut down in the mid 80’s.

At any rate, it’s great to see Mt. Cain still thriving when similar competitors failed.
