With the winds there, it would take most of the mountain down if it’s windy. It’s works as it is. If they did upgrade this to a six in its current alignment, it would overload the Cannonball chair.
When it was out one morning due to a mechanical failure this pat February, there was a 15-20 minute line at Mittersill that, by the time I got on the lift, extended into the Fleitman Trail. They should have kept the old Roebling, as it was out of the wind. By the way, where was its top terminal?
This lift had to get rope evacuated today. Looks like no one was harmed. According to someone on Reddit, there was a problem with a detaching mechanism and they’re waiting on a part, so the lift will be down for a while. Hope they get it back up and running soon.
they should change this to a sixpack and make it go to the summit

honestly wouldn’t make sense, the peabody pod is good as is. Maybe a capacity upgrade would be good, but right now they want to replace the tram.

Next to the bottom of Cannonball. You can see the old liftline to the right of the current lift when you look up from the base.

Top terminal could use a new coat of paint
