This was supposed to be named Neptune.

No, they just had Neptune/Pioche switched on the EE website. This was always the intended name

It is worth nothing that according to a DV staff member I interacted with, when Pioche opens next winter, it will provide access to Jordanelle Gondola which means there will be 3 routes out of the East Village Base: The Gondola, the Keetley/Sultan combo and Pioche/Jordanelle.

Pioche is a little uphill from the East Village Base, so it would really be Keetley/Pioche/Jordanelle, which at that point is pretty impractical.

Isn’t there the Dart Trail that goes from the Parking Shuttle Dropoff nearby Keetley/Hoodoo/EV Gondola to Aurora/Pioche? If true then that means not having to ride Keetley.

Right now the maps DV has shared show that the trails coming down the Pioche area NOT connecting with the gondola base, even though one trail is right next to the upper lot. From what it sounded like, they hadn’t gotten permission from Deer Crest yet, which they’d need since the connector is a Deer Crest private trail.

My guess is that a deal happens and east village connects with the gondola base, but there’s a chance that they say no and want to keep it quieter over there or something. This is all secondhand so take it with a grain of salt.

Besides, Keetly combined with the East Village gondola should have enough out of base capacity on their own.

do these carriers have a suspension system, or is that black horizontal bit just a really fancy double-taco?

I’d say suspension, UNI-G bubble chairs also have the same things.

I’m a little skeptical though, cuz I don’t see springs on either side of the cross-arm. On Keetley (and other modern bubbles, gondolas) you can clearly see springs. But maybe they found something more compact to hide inside there for these less massive carriers?

If I recall, springs are for D-Line. The suspension here is actually dampener for vibration.

The chair spacing looks a lot bigger than normal on this.
