This short platter lifts services a small number of large homes above the Snow Park base area. It is owned by Ski American Flag, Inc. as opposed to Deer Valley Resort. The lift has only 3 towers and 10 carriers.Drive station. This lift runs without operators. Riders turn it on and off themselves.Garaventa platter tower.View up the lift line.Fixed return up top.Top rider controls.Platter carrier.Lift line in the summer.
Where is this located on the resort? It looks like it’s right past the second switchback on Royal St but I’m not positive on that, since I can’t seem to see an access trail to it.
I wonder if Deer Valley LM maintains the lift or if the homeowners maintain it. Next time I go there in the summer/winter I’ll have to check this thing out!
Peter! I couldn’t be more stoked that you got this sucker into the database. I’m not certain, but I think I’m the one who alerted you about this one. :)
If anyone wants a bit more info on this, the lift services part of the American Flag subdivision at DV. If you’re an owner in the subdivision you can join what is known as “ski American flag” and pay into the group of owners that have access to this lift and a groomed ski run.
The link below to a current real estate listing has a nice little video of the lift in action. Fun stuff and a nice little hidden lift on the mountain.
So I don’t know if it’s even possible to share pictures in the comments so I’m just sharing a pin on Google maps. This is the base of the lift. You can see the lift line from here.
I tried to comment earlier but it didn’t post. I can’t post a picture but this google map pin shows where the base of the lift is. You can see the lift line going up to the right from here.

Looking at google maps you are correct on the location and there looks to be a road off success where rosebud starts, that leads to this poma.
