The lower half of this lift shares towers with neighboring Quad 2.View down at tower 5.The drive terminal.Lift overview.Loading area. The first tower is a portal connected to Quad 2.One of the towers holds the heavy sides of both lifts but neither light side.Tower 8 is centered between the two lifts but only touches Quad 1.View down the steep part of the line.Towers above the middle are still for a double quad but only one side is in use.Breakover towers.Unloading area. The top bullwheel.Upper part of the line above when Quad 2 ends.
The only lifts in NY that look like this and my first lift here. Interesting how on this lift you gotta sit on the same side as the line? Weird seeing the chairs bouncing on the downhill side. Its very slow unfortunately but you get great views at the top and can just about access every single trail off this lift
howdy! the twin quads got to spinnin’ this morning at Swain on quite a beautiful opening day. Along with a whole new drive system on q2, youll be excited to hear we’ve increased all the quad speeds slightly as compared to previous years. You’d be surprised how hard it is to load those old 4 person chairs even at minimal speeds. The speed of the two person chair is controlled by the attendant via a rotating handle inside the attendants cabin and depending on the person its usually cranked up.
wow! center pole quad chairs. riblet made those too
