The Ridge Rocket Express is one of two big detachables rising from the Ridge lodge.Lower terminal with the drive.Loading area overview.Riding up the lift line.’90s style Doppelmayr tower head.Arriving at the return station next to Snow Ghost’s top terminal.Top station unloading ramp.Pancake-style terminal.Looking down the lift line.Lower section of the line.View up line.Tower 2.Drive station seen from above.Top station with the Alpine T-Bar in the background.
UNI terminals. The earlier style that’s also seen on Glacier and Jersey Cream on Blackcomb, on Keystone’s older Doppelmayrs, Whitefish’s original Glacier Chaser, and the Skyliner Express at Mount Bachelor.
I don’t know if anyone who’s been to Big White can comment on how they choose between Ridge Rocket and Snow Ghost when it comes to lapping this pod. Is it a matter of whether the trail is to the west (Snow Ghost) or east (Ridge Rocket) of the lifts, or group size, or some other factors?
It’s also interesting to notice that Ridge Rocket has fewer towers but more chairs than Snow Ghost, and of the two, Ridge Rocket has the higher uphill capacity, going for a full 2,800 pph while Snow Ghost settles for 2,600 pph.
I choose between the two based on which has the shorter line as I’m getting to the bottom usually. Unless coming from the village, where it’s a bit of a push to get to Snow Ghost.
Unless you have at least 1100 or 1200 speed and extra tight spacing, a detachable quad can theoretically go only up to 2600 ppl, no more unless you live in a perfect universe. But then again, even to get 2600, you need top speed and tight spacing.
They should replace ridge rocket and snow ghost with an 8 pack and move snow ghost to take out bullet. Then, move bullet to take out that long t bar. Move ridge rocket in an alignment from the top of falcon to the bottom of powder or even lower.

Were this lift and Bullet originally bubble lifts? The chair ends look like the ones found on EJ bubble chairs, along with the terminals having opening rails for bubbles.
Were these towers reused from an older lift? They look different from the tower tubes on Bullet Express.

They run the same speed unless it’s crazy busy and the Snow Ghost runs a hair faster.

I think that would just make lines longer. I would do a 10-person gondola or newer versions of the HSQ and HSS.
