    Why do many of the competition high speed quads at Snowmass have exposed bullwheels.

    Because the underskin is a royal pain to put back in once it’s been removed. Tension cylinders below, bullwheel above, no place to work. AO could probably confirm.

      Its interesting how you can see that current LPA designs seem to still be heavily based on the “moving terminal” design these lifts featured. From the looks of it they still use this style of tension carriage today.
