The Alameda County Fair Sky Ride is the second Skytrac amusement park chairlift in California.Towers are painted in a unique green and yellow livery. The drive and tension station does not have a typical Monarch enclosure. The west station has loading and unloading.Leaving the drive station. In the middle of the line, towers are quite tall.Riding along the line.Above the fair.Another section of the line.Tower 6.View back towards the drive.T7.Arriving at the return station. This station is located at the east end of the fair.Lift line view.Side view of the Peak return terminal.Lift overview.Towers along the line. The motor has a simple windowless cover over it.
Does the sky ride stay intact after the fair is over? Is it opened during other events at the Fairgrounds? At least the pillars look like they would be permanently installed.
The towers and terminal remain in place the chairs travel to the other skyride at Cal Expo, the lift could be operated for other events it would be up to the operator to have it set up for them.
Not very many people at the fair that day..

Why doesn’t this lift have the Monarch drive terminal?

Why do Skytrac sheaves look just like their CTEC equivalent?

That’s because they are basically the same sheaves as Garaventa / CTEC.
You can buy CTEC parts from Skytrac.

The chairs no longer move to cal expo, and usually operates 1-3 more events during the year.

The drive kind of looks like a Doppelmayr CTEC Eco drive.
