It’s a little tricky to compare the two, and there’s not any good central source of information for incidents on either lifts or roller coasters. From a NSAA (National Ski Area Association) report in 2012, from 1973-2012 there were 0.34 fatalities per year. From a US Consumer Product Safety Commission report, there were an average of 2.5 fixed-site-ride-related fatalities per year over roughly the same time period.
Using recent reports from NSAA and TEA (Themed Entertainment Association) to compare skier visits per ski season to theme park attendance, there were “over 59 million” skier visits in 2018/2019 (the last full season) and 157.5 million guests in just the top 20 amusement/theme parks in North America. This means the difference isn’t quite as large when you compare to the number of people involved in either activity. And even then, that’s still a tiny number compared to the number of people who ride lifts or coasters, or compared to the number of injuries driving to and from each activity.
This lift is very interesting because the operators have to push the lift. Very colorful chairs and you get an incredible view of the whole park. The one thing I can’t stand about this lift are the lines.

Cedar Point does a good job maintaining this lift. Looks to be in great shape
