It does, in fact, it appears that most of the tension carriage at the return is also yan. Curious as to where all the parts came from.

So if this is a portable lift how do they do it with the towers? Are there foundations poured at both locations?

How do you relocate a lift twice a year?

Foundations at all locations. There are extra towers for some locations. Each location has it’s own haulrope and comline. The lift also goes to the Pomona CA, Phoenix AZ and Houston TX. Yan equipment is from the the old chair 19 double chair at Mammoth. Sheaves and carriers are Doppelmayr. Crossarms and terminals are custom made to be portable. It has 2 AC inverter drives and electric motors for redundancy. The lift can be easily switched to run on either one. Also has gas driven evacuation drive.
The lift can be set up and running in 3 days or less.

Isn’t there a CTEC in the rotation that sometimes goes to the LA and San Diego county fairs?

Yes a 1995 CTEC quad, starts in Delmar/San Diego county fair in June, then it goes to the LA Fairplex. Both lifts are in operation during the LA county fair in Pomona/LA Fairplex.

I went this weekend and it said Garventa CTEC on it. It looked pretty similar to my memory though.

Careful, there are a few sensitive people on here who don’t like nicknames of lift manufacturers. :P

Clarification: Yan components +Doppelmayr components = Yappelmayr, call it what you want. See above post from 8-15-2019.

Not sure if my question posted, forgive me if this dupes! Does anyone know what company actually facilitates the moves? Would be super interested in knowing what else they do!
