I believe it’s just a variant of the Uni (the first versions from 1989 – 1994). There were a bunch of different terminal enclosures, but the technology was the same until the discontinuation of the DS series grips and the official release of the DT series grips in 1995 (which brought with it the Uni-S/M/L, commonly referred to as the “Uni Spacejet” because of the terminal enclosure).
The armrests came off two season ago when the lift received new seat pads. The only lifts at Mt. Bachelor that still have the center armrest are Outback, Northwest and Summit.
Heard that Skyliner “sustained damage to a major drive terminal component” from Bachelor’s website. Sounds like it’s bad enough that Doppelmayr is coming out to help with diagnostics. Any locals know what happened?
seems like the damage is like a car throwing a rod bearing, the repair is super expensive and unless it is a super special thing it is just more economical to replace it. It sucks but what can you do
i love skyliner. I have no memerey of it cause I was a beginner in 23-24. I’m propebley one of the only northwest rider with no memery of the old skyliner

This particular variant of the UNI is the first generation UNI, but with a skin that causes it to look more like a prototype to the Spacejet terminal.

When built, this directly replaced the Green and Blue chairs, running on the Green chair’s line.
The Blue chair functioned as the anchor lift for a base lodge of its own, which now functions as the Junior Race Center.
