I recorded this lift in it’s new home on South Ridge https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4n1vaNd038E

On Snowdon, the lift had 17 towers. Highest numbered tower was 15, but there was also a tower 7a and 9a. These were both Yan tubes rather than Poma 60’s style tubes. Normally towers with a letter were added after the original build of the lift, but I’m not sure if that was the case here. On South Ridge, there are 14 towers and the Yan tubes are on 5 and 10. All towers received new Leitner-Poma base plates during the relocation. Chair spacing looks the same as on Snowdon, but the lift is shorter so there are fewer chairs. There were 158 chairs on Snowdon and there are 134 on South Ridge. The Yan hanger arms were replaced with new Leitner-Poma ones for the relocation.

The Yan return and hanger arms actually came from when Yan modified the Snowdon Double, which was Poma. That’s where the 60’s Poma towers came from.

Been on it a few times. Definitely slow and the top terminal is loud. It needed to get replaced. Due to the capacity and people, I would’ve had it replaced by a high speed quad not a six pack. Happy its still at the resort even though I never see it running when I go
