This lift is actually 2,800 pph or 2,400 pph, not 1,500.

Why does this lift have extra height even on the return? Usually the returns on these models look like a U shape, with the middle exposed. Also, these bubbles are basically useless now. Since there is no covered parking area And they are old, they are so scratched and exposed to sun, making it impossible to see through. I think Sun Peaks could keep this lift because it never gets that busy, but when the chair gets too old, they should replace it with a six pack bubble, as long as they remember a chair parking bin so the bubbles don’t get ruined. Maybe the capacity will be more of an issue with the new crystal chair, because burfield Will have less traffic

That’s not unique to Sunburst. Jersey Cream and Glacier Express also have the raised stack on their return terminals, and they’re of the same vintage.

Ours has the same ‘raised stack’ as Sunburst as well.

The tunnels look cool from an aesthetic perspective but they suck to work on as as a mechanic. There’s already no outside space on these terminals, so having no inside as well must be a right pain in the neck.

The raised stack on the return appears on second generation Uni terminals. The first generation looks like Thunder Wolf at Big Sky, and the second like Dipper Express at Heavenly.

The bubbles on this lift don’t actually look too out of shape.

So I looked at the 2020 sun peaks masterplan, turns out its replacement is a 8 chair 10 gondola combi lift which will happen in 15-20 years from now!

Why does every lift with the name Sunburst have bubble chairs?

I don’t know, but Okemo’s also has bubbles.

Bubbles came from Wizard Express at Whistler in 2018.
