I believe this lift is the only center pole quad in the western United States.Chairs removed for NDT.A whopping 18 towers in 1,600 feet. This is the only lift at Mountain High’s North Resort.Tower 15.Middle section of the lift line.T8.Lower part of the lift line.Bottom station with tensioning.Loading area and return bullwheel.Integrated sheave assemblies.
Three things come to mind: 1) Quad chairs at 50’ spacing (2400 pph); 2) Relatively flat lift (304’ vertical rise); 3) Riblet did not make a sheave assembly larger than +4. This requires more assemblies (+ towers) to support the load.
18 towers for a 1500 ft lift!?

Thank you for the education! Next question- On Peter’s second photo, it says chairs removed for NDT. What does NDT mean?

None Destructive Testing, basically scanning the metal for any cracks, etc.

I’ve heard rumors this lift has been removed and spare parts sent to Mt. Waterman, but have not been out to confirm.
