I think this was the highest high speed six pack in Colorado until the Panoramic Express was built at Winter Park. (Today, that distinction goes to the Kensho SuperChair at Breckenridge)

Lenawee Express at A-Basin (2022) is now the fastest.

This lift essentially combined to replace two double chairlifts, B (Heron-Poma double) and B-1 (Yan double). B served the black runs on the lower part of the line, and B-1 served the blues on the upper half.

B-1 was a Yan with a bottom drive:

    I believe this was B:

That is G Lift, not B Lift, but they were very similar. Both Heron Vault Drives, but B Lift was Counterclockwise rotation (Right hand Up).:-)

I believe it was also the first Leitner-Poma Six Passenger Omega Terminal to be built with the quad being excelerator. Last time I was up I saw LPA controls in the bottom shack as the chair was accelerating out of the terminal.

Axewolf- unless you’ve seen the lift the day after it opens, chances are the controls have been modified. Well over half of our lifts have custom-made controls everywhere except the main control desk. That’s part of our scope of duties as maintenance- to make the lift more operator-friendly. The manufacturers build controls based on the most common requests of the customers, but they can’t anticipate every operational scenario.

I can’t say off the top of my head. I think early December for round-trip skiing but Thanksgiving weekend for access only.

This lift can end up as a serious bottleneck. It should have a higher capacity.

When is it a bottleneck? I’ve seen that lift on a pretty much daily basis for over two decades, and it only ever has a line first thing in the morning or after a breakdown. Once this past season it had a line up to the bottom of Skid Road, but that cleared up after a half-hour or forty-five minutes and never once came close again. Considering it has barely more capacity than a standard detach quad, it eats lines for breakfast.

This lift should have bubbles, as it has a lot of wind hit it on the upper half
