The tension terminal looks more like Constam than Hopkins. Hopkins never made tension terminals that large. The towers also look like Constam with some modifications that could be Hopkins. The carriers also look to be Hopkins, Constam carriers used a springbox.
The T-bar was first installed at Mt. Sunapee in 1953 (Summit T-bar). It was built by Heron under license from Constam. Hopkins didn’t even build lifts before 1964. The T-bar was replaced with a Hopkins double (Northeast) in 1967 and sold to Franklin.
Always thought it was Hopkins but looking at it again you’re right. Did some research, they were contractors for Roebling until they closed in 1965 when Hopkins bought Roebling’s lift division. They built some ski lifts (With help from Heron at Sunapee) but mostly migrated to the Skyride business, eventually manufacturing log flumes. You can clearly see a Roebling influence in their lifts.
I don’t want to be picky, but it was in 1964. Hopkins more or less first Skyglider installation (built by Universal Design) was on 02/07/64 at Storytown USA (now Six Flags Great Escape).
Ah, interesting. In that case, Roebling’s last lift was Lift 3 at Belleayre, a 1964 install. Other than when they partnered with Heron for some lifts at Sunapee, I think the only Hopkins chairlift installation was the Sandy lift at Saddleback, but I could be wrong.
