I’ve skied this mountain, fun little hill with good chalet. That lift needs replacement, it’s by the far the most crowded lift on the mountain. I feel this ski hill could expand over behind the top of this lift. maybe they could relocate this to that area in a new expansion and the old spot can host a new skytrac quad. But that is probably not going to happen since this is owned by the local park district in the middle of a reserve.

Also, this lift’s official name is the “south park triple”

I was just here and it looks like they’re replacing this triple with a quad called “Northern Lights Quad”

The northern lights quad is the one labeled north on the spreadsheet I believe. The new lift is called south park. The lines still get pretty bad here though, even with the new quad. I’ve waited 20 minutes before on a busy Saturday.

I know where this lift is going if that’s of any interest to readership. It was purchased and transported across the St. Croix. It’s a hill in Wisconsin that’s being revived, though I don’t know what the name of the hill will be yet.

This lift needed to be replaced for a long time, im glad its not going to be scrapped. im assuming they are putting a new drive in it. Last year it overheated, and it had to run at around 10fpm for about 3 months.

Good thing it is getting relocated, my cousins live in Minneapolis and when I went hiking over at Hyland the lift seemed really well taken care of for its age.
