Tubing Tow – Blue Mountain, PA

This one of a kind lift uses double chair components but is used for carrying tubes.

Is this the old challenge chair?

No, the Challenge Double was removed in 2006 and this appears on 2005 Google Earth imagery (where you can also see the old Challenge Double).

Comet and Valley School were both expansion lifts and did not replace anything. I suspect they bought a used Hall double to lengthen the Challenge Double in 1994, and they used the excess parts to construct this lift.

I believe this was removed this summer 2021, and the snowmaking crew is grateful.
