Mont Saint Marie is an awesome resort and the best in the ottawa region having nearly double the vertical than its competitors, two high speed quads with no lines even on holiday weekends, and a nice community feel. Plus these lifts are pretty unique with the half enclosed bottom competition terminals, and whatever the model of the top terminal is called. Great pics Peter!
This lift also had a brutal breakdown in 2015, that left me, and dozens of other skiers stuck on the lift for hours. I was stuck on the sheave assembly on tower 16, and probably shoulda just jumped off, but I watched the “last chairlift” a few monthes before, and that was enough to just ride it out until I was roped down from the lift. Safe to say, most local skiers including myself are hoping they replace this lift with a Doppelmayr HSQ, not a LPA HSQ.
