Vernon – Mountain Creek, NJ

This Borvig triple is the last remaining lift from the pre-Intrawest days.
Borvig built some twenty lifts at Vernon Valley and Great Gorge over the years prior to the resort unifying as Mountain Creek.
Top terminal overview.
View from the summit.
Top bullwheel.
The top of this lift is right next to the much newer Cabriolet.
Middle part of the lift line.
The first few towers.
Lift line with low clearance.
Bottom terminal and tower 1.
Counterweight and loading area.
Drive bullwheel.

This lift used to have 188 chairs. Some were removed in 2015 when the lift received the plastic seats and backs from Partek, but I don’t remember how many. This lift only operates on weekends and when The Cabriolet is closed.

I noticed a couple odd things about this lift today there is one tower that appears to be different than the other ones . There are two footings that look like they used to have towers bolted to them but every tower on this lift is concreted into the footing so I thought that was odd. If anybody knows anything it would be cool to know the history of this.
