It’s unusual for Vulcan to sport two Euro towers with combo assemblies (Towers 6 & 7) as Doppelmayr usually produces the big support ones (ones with 10-12 sheaves per side like Towers 16, 17) for HSQs nowadays. It might’ve been that Doppelmayr had extra production available.

The way they elected to blast through the rock at the peak is really interesting, i don’t think i have ever seen a lift go through a mountain on two sides like that.

The blasting must’ve been more of a last-minute thing since the full D-Line wasn’t worth it, I sure noticed a lot of it over the summer before the lift was erected.

what does a Full D-line have to do with blasting through the rock?

Going through the rock is really cool on the lift, super unique

Revelator was gonna be a full D-Line going to the top of Park Peak via a mid-load at the base of Revelator. It wasn’t gonna have a mid at the top of Vulcan. So when the 2 lifts were warranted instead, Vulcan’s top terminal was on top of some rocks, which meant it had to get blasted to fit the terminal in.
