With East Ridge being replaced this summer I wonder what the future holds. The logical replacements would be the last remaining double and the triple. The double I can see being either a triple or a quad and the triple would become a quad, but could warrant being replaced with a high speed quad. Farther down the line would be replacing the Riblet quads with more modern versions.
2500 feet isn’t long enough for a detachable. A loading carpet quad would do just fine for the triple. Considering that Welch recently replaced the chairs on the Riblet quads, I would think that they plan to keep the quads for another 10 years. They came used with low hours, so they should be able to last longer than other lifts of the same age.
