Interesting angled-load at midstation. Any idea why they went with this sort of arrangement? The straightline Doppelmayr version on Palmer seems to work fine with just the minimal decel/accel. Expected ability of customer base, maybe?

That seems to just be how Leitner-Poma detachable midstations are set up on the Omega lifts. The Village Express at Snowmass has the same thing with its midway unload station (which is also a half-station). This angled load also exists on the Peak 8 SuperConnect at Breckenridge for its midway load.

For the first few years, the chairs used safety bars that had footrests, but not since around 2011 or 2012. You can still see the rubber stoppers on the chairs that the footrests rested against when the bar was up.

Did anyone else notice the penguin in the midstation?

I saw it LOL! Its the exact same as the Linux OS logo, just minus the wording. It makes you think what that could mean…. are the lifts using Linux?? Hmmmmm, very interesting.

Na, that’s because this is a kid friendly mountain compared to the other 3.

Snowmass has quite a bit of kid animal decos too, most notably the creature party taking place around the snow making pond under VX lift.

(@Blake) That probably makes the snowmaking pond a lot more interesting to look at 😂

Anyone know the elevation and/or vertical rise from top/bottom of the mid-station on this lift?
