I would compare this to Gate House at Sugarbush. A lift that is easy to lap and often gets long lines because of it. SuperQuad could be compared to Super Bravo. It is harder to lap, but provides access to a greater amount of terrain and access to other lifts.
Earlier Garaventa CTECs had an ‘end gap’ built into the carrier spacing system. As I’ve not worked on one, I’m not totally sure what the reasoning was. From my limited understanding it was to allow for discrepancies earlier in the line, and I do know that if it gets too small maintenance has to reestablish it. Anyone who’s actually worked on one, feel free to correct me.

If Double Runner gets replaced with a new quad it will help draw skiers from Wiffletree, as they have terrain of similar ability.

It could be a missing chair, resorts often take off damaged chairs, but it is almost certainly the end gap PBROPETECH described.
