In the Storm Skiing podcast, they had mentioned putting in a loading carpet for this lift, so they could speed it up. They really need that as this lift is slow, and it’s the only way to get to other parts of the resort out of the base.
This is the next lift that is listed to be replaced on Sunday River’s 2030 plan. Do you think it will happen this coming summer? It could probably use the Jordan HSQ since Boyne still has that in storage and didn’t end up using it on Barker
This lift accesses several kinds of terrain. I spend most of my time on this lift despite it being slow. There’s a great switchback trail at the top of this lift id recommend
At 3700 feet long there is absolutely no need for that. Most likely it gets a loading carpet to shorten the ride and reduce stops. At best it gets torn out and replaced with another fixed quad that runs up skier’s right of Tempest rather than skier’s left to improve flow around the top and bottom terminals (bottom terminal would shift over towards Lift 11 with a steep climb out to allow ski under-clearance from Moonstruck/Starlight.
Peter,
You have the correct pictures to the White Cap and Little White Cap lifts, but you switched these around on the lift list page.

Tower 10 was formerly a Yan half-tower, likely a shorter tower with combination assemblies on only the loaded side.

The next big project at Sunday River should be to replace this with a D-Line bubble 6 pack
