I’m fairly sure there is a few degree turn in this lift somewhere near base area. I could tell when looking at it from head on.

Yeah one of the compression towers look like its canted. Maybe Supreme at Alta isn’t the first lift with canted tower sheaves

There are several lifts that have canted sheaves, Supreme is just the first to make a turn with that particular system. Other systems use 1-2 towers and canted compression sheaves, Supreme uses multiple towers with a combination of depression and compression sheaves.

Yeah, I agree that this lift turns because why else would there be canted combo asembless at the breakover?

Isn’t there talk of Leitner Poma upgrading this lift to an actual gondola in the next few years?

There are plans to replace this pulse gondola with a onndola with a bottom terminal at the Meadows parking lot. It is part of the plan of changing the transit center in the base area into a more pedestrian friendly area with less vehicle traffic. My understanding is that they had lined up approval from a variety of groups including the city, but when new city commissioners were elected the city backed out, putting it all on hold.

It’s only a few degrees. I can find anywhere the exact angle, but it is described as “few degree turn”.
