This double chair was installed by SkyTrans in 2012.The lift is mostly Mueller but with other parts such as Stadeli chairs.Tower 1 and the drive station. The presenting sponsor of the Skylift is Alabama Power as of 2019.Tension bullwheel.Moving drive unit.View up from the loading station. The ride is round trip only.Tower 2 with added lifting frame.View back towards the loading zone.Flat lift line.Tower 6 of 9.T9.All riders go around the bullwheel.View east.Lift overview.Concrete counterweight.
There’s a problem with this. The spreadsheet says it was installed in 2012 whereas the pictures say it was installed in 2002. I can imagine it was 2002 but I may be wrong. It also seems to be a Stadeli with Doppelmayr towers, not a Mueller.
2002 was a typo. The lift is mostly Mueller but with Stadeli chairs and return terminal. SkyTrans sometimes cobbles together parts from multiple lifts to make new ones. Mueller did make tube towers in its later years. See: https://liftblog.com/practice-slope-mad-river-glen-vt/
I don’t think there is any Meuller in this lift, Stadeli made that style drive too, the old beginner double at Taos had the same drive and return terminals as this lift the only change looks to be the towers.
Stadeli had a drive terminal similar to Mueller, but there are some differences. Mueller’s drive terminals were more straight up, whereas the Stadeli terminals were slanted more. Also, Mueller’s counterweights were different than Stadeli versions. Here are a few examples:
Sawduster Lift: Stadeli
Taos old beginner lift: Stadeli

Also that looks to be the same drive terminal as on the Loaf’s Sawduster Double, an early ’70s Stadeli.

This does appear to be a Stadeli, the counterweight pylon (I don’t know the actual term) is the giveaway. I wonder where it was originally installed.

I would love to ride a ski lift not in a ski resort. Would be curious to know what it feels like to ride around the bull wheel.

The chairs almost remind me of a Ribblet
